The NY Post interviews Peter Facinelli concerning his TV series that premieres tonight, Nurse Jackie, and they manage to ask a bit about his thoughts on New Moon–
PW: The last time we talked, you had just wrapped production on “Twilight,” how are things going with the sequel?
Peter: I found there to be a little less pressure because everybody knew their characters. There was less questioning on the set as to what we were doing — we trust that there is a fan-base out there. Our main job with the first one was to make a good movie for the fans…we just didnʼt know it would explode the way it did. So I think weʼve carried that feeling along to the second movie. But now knowing there is a bigger fan-base out there, we do feel some pressure to live up to the first one.
PW: Well, the subject matter — European escapades — makes the film grander in essence, right?
Peter: It definitely feels like a bigger picture. The first one felt like making an indie, this one feels like a summer blockbuster. “Twilight” was more intimate in some ways because youʼve got a smaller crew and are working against the clock, but with “New Moon” there are so many more people around and the food is better.

We finally have a first-hand account from the set of New Moon with the first of a five part series from Metro News in Canada. They recount–
Ready? Action! Jacob fastens a necklace on Bella. “It catches bad dreams,” he tells her. But Bella only dreams of Edward, played by Robert Pattinson. The British actor is leaning nearby on a car, a figment of Bellaʼs imagination. She is continually haunted by memories of this impossible love.
\As the cameras roll for the third take, Lautner forgets his lines. “Sorry, Iʼm totally lost,” he laughs. “Cut, reset!” orders Weitz. The cast had a 5 a.m. wake-up call. Lautner outdoes himself in the fourth take. “That was my favourite!” enthuses the director.
The heavy atmosphere of the Vancouver weather seems to temporarily lift as lunch break is declared. Even vampires get hungry, and Pattinson joins us for a quick bite and chat. In full vampirical make-up and sporting yellow contact lenses, we almost expect him to bite us instead of his food.

Eclipse Rehearsals in August, Filming in September

Rehearsals are tentatively slated to begin August, 2009 with actual filming starting in late September, 2009. The release date for Eclipse has been announced as Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
Roles Currently Casting:
Leah Clearwater: Female, 19 years of age. Sethʼs big sister, and the only female member of La Push wolf pack: “She is tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair. She would be considered gorgeous if not for the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues.”
Seth Clearwater: Male, 15-16 years of age is a “tall, gangly-limbed boy with a huge, happy grin, Seth idolizes Jacob.” Black hair, lean muscle type, think swimmer type body.
Riley: Male 19-21. Good looking, blond, clean-cut, muscular college guy who falls victim to Victoria. Heʼs in his early to mid 20s and Riley was a newborn that was created by Victoria to act as the leader of her recently formed newborn army. He accompanies Victoria in her attempt to murder Bella Swan.
Maria: Female mid-20ʼs, Hispanic, petite figure, brunette, dark eyes with a soft and musical voice. Maria looks for humans that she could turn to vampires to create a “newborn army”.
Bree: 14-17, beautiful, 5′1″ - 5′3″, short dark hair, fair skin. Has a high pitched shrill scream. She is one of the newborn army who ravaged Seattle, killing many with her fellows under the guise of a serial killer.
Royce King II: Male, late 20ʼs, out-spoken, comes from wealthy family. He was a human who lived during the time of the Great Depression. He was engaged to Rosalie Hale for a short period of time.
